Are you more proud of your accomplishments or your character?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 24, 2007:
I would have to say, I'm more proud of my character. I haven't accomplished much in this life, besides staying alive, but I have always tried to be a good person, a good friend, and help people when I see that they need it. I make sure to give very generously, no matter what the circumstances. My family says that I'm a sucker, but I help people, even though some times, it is obvious that whatever predicament they are in is their fault. I belive in second( and third) chances. I just know that whatever good I do will be returned to me, in ways that I don't realize. I think that I am of good charachter, but I haven't accomplished much, except for my children ( and that was God's idea).

Help

What a beautiful photo of a lovely child! I'm also a mom, and I also feel that while my kids were God's idea, I am proud to have brought forth such beautiful people into the world. I often think of this quote by Jackie Kennedy: “If you bungle raising your children, I don't think whatever else you do matters very much.”
